Generative modeling enables machines to create new data. The field of generative modeling is like reverse engineering, how real data was created and then modeling this generation process. Our ability to understand the underlying factors that are responsible for generating the data can help us not only generate new images but also generate images that were never seen before by simply intervening on different factors of the generation process. model when applying it to safety critical domains, such as, autonomous driving or medical imaging. Our group focuses mainly on XAI for computer vision with works on evaluating XAI methods and intrinsically more explainable models.
